Sir Paul McCartney's rendition of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band with U2 topped the iTunes chart in several countries after being made available to download an hour after its performance at the concert. The Live 8 day started in Tokyo, where fans screamed their approval at Bjork's performance. More than 230,000 people rushed to the London's Hyde Park for the biggest of the 10 Live 8 events around the world. Live 8 in Hyde Park stats: 195 catering vans fed artists and crew, 42,000 sausages, 50,000 bacon rashers and 70,000 eggs were eaten, 1,500 toilets were set up, 5,300 caterers and roadies helped the concert run smoothly. 1,200 officers were deployed in central London for Live 8 and Gay Pride events. Among those who performed were Robbie Williams, Coldplay, Sir Paul McCartney, Elton John, Bjork, U2, Coldplay, Sting, Pete Doherty, and Madonna. In Philadelphia, Destiny's Child, Jay Z and Bon Jovi were among the big name performers.  George Clooney introduced former Eurythmics star Annie Lennox who sang two songs before telling the G8 politicians: "Do nothing at your peril." Susan Sarandon brought Live 8 organizer Bob Geldof onto the stage. Supermodel Claudia Schiffer came on stage with a message for the Chancellor of her native Germany. She said: "Gerhard Schroeder, we are watching you. Since you woke up this morning, 30,000 children have already died. Sir Paul McCartney and Annie Lennox pledged to share their profits.
