THE HEAT IS ON! A theatrical concert backed by an 11- piece Big Band Orchestra based on the life of movie star, Rita Hayworth, will return to B.B. Miss Lemley takes you by the hand with Hayworth, as she invites you into the crevasses of her heart to share the flip side of her life through monologue & Hayworth’s music (“Long Ago and Far Away,” “Put The Blame On Mame,” “I’m Old Fashioned,” “Zip,” “The Lady is a Tramp” & “Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered”), backed by an electrifying 11-piece Big Band, dance & five costume changes. Written & directed by CARTER INSKEEP (Always, Patsy Cline), THE HEAT IS ON! Celebrates the music of Hayworth’s films & life, with arrangements by Tedd Firth, with original orchestrations by Bob McDowell (Off-Broadway’s Swingtime Canteen). Carol Welsman's newest CD, "What'cha Got Cookin'?"

Carol adds a touch of swing to Hank Williams and Tammy Wynette in "Hey Good Lookin'" and "Stand by your Man"! With a splash of bossa nova, Carol blends a velvet texture into "By the Time I get to Phoenix". Toes will tap as she combines some slow burning blues with a soul full of heartbreak in "I Can’t Stop Loving You", and a shake of shuffle to Mary Chapin Carpenter’s "I Feel Lucky". Carol declares that "Just a Little Lovin’" will go a long way! Covering a wide variety of hits from the American Country Songbook, Carol pays tribute to many great singers and songwriters, and cleverly transforms these songs into refreshing popular standards. Ms. Welsman
is listed in the World Who's Who in Jazz, Cabaret, Music and Entertainment.
