Blades of Glory. Assessment: Skate on by....A close friend said that "Blades of Glory" (Paramount/Dream Works) had gotten raves from the NYT and that the WSJ had given it a 9 out of 10 ‘amusement points.’ I had misgivings, serious misgivings. It looked dorky, dumb, and over-the-top. Since I respect my friend, and the judgment of the Wall Street Journal, I acquiesced. Read

THEY ARE NOT FORGOTTEN...

Nancy LaMott Is Not Forgotten...Nancy LaMott, probably the greatest singer of American Popular Standards of her generation, was on the verge of stardom when she was struck down, at the age of 43, by Uterine Cancer. Nancy came from the Midwestern town of Midland, Michigan (or, as she used to call it, a suburb of the Dow Chemical Company.) P.73

Pam Bricker Is Not Fotgotten...It's difficult to believe that two years have passed since our beloved Pammy departed on February 20, 2005. For all of us who knew and loved Pam, this remains an incalculable loss.  A sweet and generous soul has passed from this Earth, one that touched so many of us through song. P.75
